i took a whole series of B&W photos of aspen trees and the markings that so many people have left as records of their presence. i used to think it sucked when people did this, but as i walked through these forests, i found a new appreciation for it. photographing them in the amazing light that the aspen forest creates, esp. in the afternoon, gave me a new view on hiking these trails i know from years past.
